Terms of Use
Last updated: August 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of Blipp. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Blipp.
The service
Blipp is a music quiz: the app plays a preview of a song and you try to identify it among a few options, within a time limit. There are several game modes (Daily, Artist, Genre, Year, Decade) and a ranking per mode.
Your account
The first time you open the app, an anonymous account is created automatically to keep your progress. You can optionally link a Google account so you don't lose that progress if you switch devices or reinstall the app.
The nickname you choose is public and goes through a moderation filter. We reserve the right to remove or block offensive nicknames, and to suspend accounts that repeatedly abuse this rule.
Acceptable use
By playing Blipp, you agree not to:
- Use bots, scripts, or any automation to play or inflate scores;
- Exploit bugs in the app to gain an unfair advantage in the rankings;
- Use a nickname that is offensive, misleading, or infringes on someone else's rights;
- Attempt to access other players' data beyond what's public on the rankings.
Accounts that break these rules may have their scores removed from public rankings or be suspended.
Music and copyright
The audio previews played in the app come from the public Apple/iTunes API and exist only to identify the song within the quiz. Every song, artist name, and album cover belongs to its respective rights holder — Blipp claims no ownership over that content. Each round links to the track's iTunes page in case you want to hear it in full.
Blipp's own property
The Blipp name, logo, app design, and source code belong to Blipp's developer. You may not copy, redistribute, or build derivative products from the app without permission.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time right from the app — this is final and erases your nickname, avatar, and scores. We may also suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
Blipp is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the app running and the song catalogue available, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free — a preview can become unavailable if Apple stops offering it, for instance.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version; continuing to use the app after a change counts as acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, where Blipp is developed and maintained.
